Soccer Fan birthday card and Cards for Men Challenge 14

I'm playing along with the Cards for Men Challenge 14 today. I've used the Inspired by Stamping new July release Octagons set.

My inspiration comes from a card designed by Dawn Phillips in a recent issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. She used hexagons and I've used octagons, but I think either work equally well. It does put you in mind of a soccer ball, doesn't it?!

I've used a stamp from IBS Happy Occasions Sentiments on the outside of the card and finished up the inside with the big "Happy" stamp from the Happy Occasions set (both new in July).

The theme for this challenge is Bingo! You have to choose a line to create. I've chosen the center one—sentiment, stamped images, paper piecing.

Material
Stamps—Inspired by Stamping Octagons, Happy Occasions, Happy Occasions Sentiments
Ink—Versafine black pigment
Paper—kraft paper, black and beige cardstock
Dies—Die-namics
Embellishments—vintage button, twine, pearls
