A little news, a vintage look pink guitar birthday card, and some challenges

One of my Inspired by Stamping design team duties is to participate in challenges and this week I'm playing along with the latest Seize the Birthday and the new Seize the Sketch challenges. This will be my last official project as an Inspired by Stamping Design Team member, as I'm stepping down from the team. It's been a real pleasure these last six months, working with the other ladies on the team and creating with Joanna's gorgeous stamps, but my upcoming schedule is looking rather busy and I just have to prioritize my time.

This guitar stamp was part of the IBS August release. The stamps from this release were masculine themed. However, this guitar stamp, in my opinion, is perfect for any music lovermale or female.

I wanted a girly vintage look for this card, so I softly colored my stamped guitar image with pink colored pencils and fussy cut it. The sentiment on the front is from the IBS Big Wishes set. In keeping with the vintage theme, I used old sheet music as a background and Pink Paislee's London Market paper. The ribbon is new, but looks pleasingly old.

I propped up my sentiment and main image with 3D pads to make them stand out.

I finished up the inside with another IBS sentiment from Big Wishes II.

And here's the sketch:

Material

Stamp—Inspired by Stamping Guitars, Big Wishes, Big Wishes II

Ink—Versafine black
Paper—vintage sheet music,
Pink Paislee's London Market, cardstock
Dies—Die-namics
Embellishments—buttons, pearls, ribbon
