What can you do with extra candle rings? Make a candle ring wreath Christmas card!

Upcycled candle ring, wreath Christmas card by Paperesse.

I found some brass candle rings reduced down to CHF 0.75 in the mark down corner of one of my favorite decorative shops. I bought three, thinking I'd take them apart for the bells, leaves and wire bits to use as embellishments.

At home, I got to looking at them and thought one would make a nice wreath for a card. Here you have the result. I wound some beaded thread through it, added some gold pearl beads, ribbon, a button, some twine, created a sentiment with my favorite Honey Script font, and glued the whole thing down.

It turned out rather nice I thought, but the darn thing's so heavy it will cost me a fortune to mail!

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, vintage sheet music, kraft paper, Bo Bunny Silver & Gold Collection
Dies – Die-namics circle stax
Embellishments – brass candle ring, beaded thread, gold beads, button, twine, ribbon
Font – Honey Script

  1. Absolutely gorgeous piece! Make it one you can hand deliver... I save all my heavy or thick ones to use for locals I plan to see. If you INSIST on mailing it, I will send my address... I'd even pay the postage on that beauty! LOL!
