Altering a plain kraft photo frame with papercrafts

Altered kraft picture frame, by Paperesse.

We went to dinner with some friends a while back and one of the photos we took of them was so cute I wanted to give it to them in a frame as a gift. This plain kraft paper picture frame (see the before photo below) was the perfect base to build on. The paper colors I've used match the interior of their home – Tactile Studio's Provincial digital paper pack.

Their home is modern and I didn't want to go too cutesy, so embellishments were kept to a minimum. I left the twine hanger if they care to use it that way, but gave the card with a stand cut from a Joy! Crafts card stand die. If they don't want the twine hanger, they can cut it off and use the stand.

And here's the before photo:

Supply List
Paper – cardstock,  Tactile Design Provincial digital paper
Dies – Die-namics square stax, Toga bowtie, Sizzix Banners, Joy! stand die
Embellishments – button, thread

  3. Wonderful upcycle, Shani, and such a thoughtful gift. :-)
I was just mentioning you to my family last week, and how you can sometimes find American comfort foods in Belgium but at such a high cost.
Hope you are well, my friend. :-)
