I woolly love ewe so very much Valentine's Day card

I woolly love ewe so very much, Valentine's Day card, by Paperesse.

Happy Valentine's Day all! May you feel joy in the love of those dear to you. Valentine's day to me isn't a day just for couples, it's a day to tell everyone you care about you love them, and for those no longer here, to remember and be thankful for the love you shared and still have in your heart. I always gave my mother a Valentine's Day card and she always gave one to me. This year I sent Valentine's Day cards to my grandmother and my niece, in addition to this one – my hubby's card.

Just to be different, I decided to ditch the pink and red on his card this year. I suppose some would say it's more masculine.  But really, what's masculine and feminine? The older I get, the less I like those labels. Normally, my husband gets pink and red and likes it (like this one).

The digi stamp is Flossy, from Doctor Digi. I paired her up with a sentiment from Barbara Williams Punny Animal Sentiments One sheet. Paper is Tactile Studio digital from the Lacey, Newsprint, and Splattered paper packs. Embellishments are textured gray hearts (I knew I'd use these one day!) and metal dots.

  1. Shani, I LOVE your card! I totally agree that colour doesn't matter. In fact your neutrals have an elegance which is such fun with that cute image. The textured hearts with the metal dots add to the fun and elegance. There's so much to love about your card. The papers and patterns you've combines add so much interest as well. But it's the ewe with which I really fell in love (and, of course, the sentiment). Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  2. LOL! LOve this card... your choice of papers and image is so well done - but the embellishments made me giggle the most! The hearts look to me like grass that was baled into the shape of a heart that the ewe can eat! I thought how creative that is and then you mentioned you had them for awhile! Cool that you can remember you even have those tucked away somewhere. Adding the silver buttons is an example of your eye for details that really finish a piece with flair. Ginny likes it - can you tell?

  4. Shani I loved your intro and your love of Valentines Day. It truly is about the love we feel for others all year through and those who've passed as well as those present. Your hubby loved this little wooley ewe I'm sure. It's cuteness personified. I totally love everything about this card with it's Scottish style tartan backgrounds to the sentiment and cutest little sheep ever! Thanks so much for sharing at the Watercooler Wednesday "Any Occasion"
    challenge this week. Loved it!
