Just for You card featuring Di's Digi Stamps Squisshy Kitty digital stamp

Just for You card featuring Di's Digi Stamps Squisshy Kitty stamp, by Paperesse.

This 'Just for You' card going to my aunt features Di's Digi Stamps Squisshy Kitty digital stamp. It's a super cute stamp (and I noticed as I was getting the link that it's now on sale for $1.00), but honestly, I think I might have named it something else. Referring to a kitty as squishy (even with an extra s in the spelling) brings all kind of unpleasant associations to mind.

This card illustrates the difference paper texture brings to your coloring experience. I have three packs of drawing paper I bought on sale a while back, but I don't enjoy using them due to the textured uneven finish I get when coloring on them. Compare this image with the one I used on this Easter card (featuring another great Di's Digi Stamps digi) and the difference paper makes is obvious. I can blend 'til I'm blue in the face and unless I use an additional oil (which I don't like to do) I still will get this rough appearance. I think I need to just set guilt aside for not using them, find some other use for the paper, and go on down the road.

The sentiment is from Barbara Ann Williams Garden Vignettes Round Sentiments sheet. The paper is from my stash and I have no idea of its origin. Embellishments are a few tiny pearls used to dress up the border die-cut.

  2. Oh, Shani! That card is so pretty! I love the flowered paper you found - it matches the image so nicely! The die cut with the pearls make it so feminine - I know your Aunt will love it too. And squissshy?? I think it is because he is so plump and squeezable... but I understand how quickly your mind can go to a dark place with that - eeewwwww! Nice creation my friend!

  6. He is cute and quite squeezable but squishy, I can see your problem! The texture on the puss looks fine, it gives a more fur like texture!
