Santa Claws crab Christmas step card

Santa Claws Christmas step card, by Paperesse.

Another Christmas card for you today featuring 2 Cute Ink's Santa Claws digital stamp.

Paper is Tactile Studio Primary digital paper pack. I've discovered that I enjoy using normal, everyday paper for holiday cards. It gives a certain freshness to the cards I like (another example of which is this Hangin' With my Gnomies Christmas card). I had in fact cut the Crafts-too Presscut step card die base and these papers to use on another birthday card, but I didn't like the look. I put them aside to use with something else and voila...something else turned out to be this card.

With the bright primary colors I didn't think much embellishment was needed so I kept it simple and added just a few mousse dots to tie it all together. The sentiment was created with Candy Round BTN font.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Tactile Studio Primary digital paper pack,
Digital stamp – 2 Cute Ink Santa Claws
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – Crafts-too Presscut step card die, Die-namics rectangle stax
Embellishments – mousse dots
Font – Candy Round BTN

  1. Never thought about using regular paper for a Christmas card... you are so right! Using the primary colors like that would normally be way out side my box. Thanks for that tip! And you were so right - no embellishment needed with that paper, especially with the fancy fold base card. That image and punny sentiment is darling by the way!
