Genie digital stamp masculine birthday card

Masculine birthday card featuring Digital Delights Genie Scottie digital stamp, by Paperesse.

This recent birthday card for a young cousin of mine features Digital Delights Genie Scottie digital stamp. Said young cousin is a guy, so despite the little wooden flowers – which IMHO don't look very flower-ish – it's a masculine card. That being said...what's wrong with flowers for a guy? And why do I feel the need to explain that? Hmm...

Paper is from the long retired Toga Saveurs d'Orient paper pack. I've had this paper well over six years now. You can see where I've used more of it (goodness...how my card making style has changed!) on these past Istanbul Inspiration and French Happy Birthday cards. Every time I do a clean out I consider recycling what's left of it, but it's so pretty I keep it and sure enough – as with this card – I find another use for it.

The sentiment was created with Bradley Hand font. To dress up the aforementioned wooden flowers, I've added some gold CANDi dots to each center.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Toga Saveurs d'Orient paper pack
Digital stamp – Digital Delights Genie Scottie
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – Die-namics rectangle stax
Embellishments – wooden flowers, CANDi dots
Font – Bradley Hand

  6. Those are great flowers for a guy - more like medallions actually - and I LOve them! The color of blue and that beautiful gold center are perfect embellishments for the wonderful papers you chose to use. I continue to be amazed at your ability to blend so smoothly between colors as well as between shadows and highlights with your pencils! Well done Shani - the result is another great card!

  8. Elle est très jolie ta carte Shani ! Il est vrai qu'on ne voit pas des fleurs sur une carte masculine, quoique j'ai déjà mis sur une il y a longtemps... ce génie est très mignon!
    Gros bisous mon amie
