Pooch Masculine Birthday Card

My husband asked me to make a birthday card for a friend of his. The friend and his wife like dogs so I thought this festive pooch was appropriate. My husband, however, was not so sure. The finished card was met with a less than enthusiastic response. 

'Is that an elephant?' he asked.

'No, it's a dog.'

'It looks like an elephant.'

Mental palm slap to forehead. 'How does this look like an elephant?'

'Well, it doesn't look like a dog.'

'Well, it is a dog and I like it and that's what he's getting.' I was proud of myself; I did not not stamp my foot.

It was a minor repeat of the Peas on Earth Christmas card incident.

Said DOG is an old Whimsie Doodles digital stamp (sigh...I really liked her digis). Paper is Craft Sensations Vintage Colors Antique design pad (retired).  

Abadi MT Condensed Light font was used to create the sentiment. I used a little paper crinkled ribbon and some CANDi dots as embellishment (another product/company I was sorry to see go out of business; a little pack of these dots last forever...oh, maybe that's why they're no longer in business?).
