Think Spring Bunnies Extended Slimline Card

This is the first outing for these new no-brand slimline dies I've used on this Easter card. I like their size, they cut well, the price was certainly right, but I think the dotted edges are a wee bit much on each layer. I didn't anticipate the little dots being quite so big. I've seen another card using a similar die where someone ran twine through them to give a stitched appearance. They're certainly big enough to do that. I think it does give nice texture, but in the future I won't use them on every layer. The card base is kraft and then there's a layer of kraft behind the middle and smallest layers, too.

The image is Think Spring Extended Bunnies from Whimsey Stamps, which I extended even more by layering PNG images to fit the space of the center die. Paper is from the German company Max Bringmann (Folio). I used some foam flowered stickers and dots to dress it up. I find I use these type of stickers quite a bit (as on this colorful Penguin birthday card) and snap them up whenever I find them. They're actually for children's crafts, but they work great for cards. I like their bright colors, flat forms (better for mailing), and they really stick!

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Max Bringmann paper pad
Dies – no-brand slimline dies
Embellishments – foam stickers

  2. So cute and springy! I really hope those dots fell out on their own....I would hate it if they all had to be popped out manually! I love those flowers too....you're right, they look perfect for cards!
