New Baby in the Family and a New Baby Card

We've got a new baby in the family! My niece had a baby girl at the end of December. Mama, Daddy and little Wrenn are all doing well. To congratulate the happy couple I made this new baby card using Sizzix's Baby Dresser die. It's a shame the Sizzix website says this die is discontinued. Not just for babies, this die set makes great general purpose step cards. I've used it for Christmas, Halloween, Easter and birthday cards. Only one other time have I used it for its original purpose and this is the only time in all the years I've had it, I've used the teddy bear, rattle and bottle dies that are included in the set.

Paper is a no-brand outlet shop paper pad. Candara Light and Montez fonts were used to create the sentiment. A hanger, pink bow and pearls give it a feminine touch.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, patterned paper
Dies – Sizzix Baby Dresser die, Die-namics rectangle stax
Embellishments – hanger, pearls
Font – Candara Light, Montez

I'm linking up with: Little Red Wagon #638 – A Hard Day's Night - Work (I think a new baby would qualify for for a work related theme, n'est-ce pas?), PIP Challenge #2204 – ATG, WWC333 – All About Occasions, Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #543 – 2 or more patterned papers, and Krafty Chicks #596 – All Occasions.

Your card is adorable and it's lovely that you could use some of the never-before-used elements of the set.

  2. Aw, such a sweet card! I especially love the adorable bow on the teddy bear. You've used this die to make so many wonderful cards....one of them is very recognizable. (:
