Happy Birthday Slimline Card with Di's Digi Stamps Birthday Cake Teddy

I had some Christmas/Birthday gift cards from Amazon I hadn't spent yet and decided to do a little crafty shopping. This card for a friend of mine is the first outing for this new no-brand Happy Birthday die. What do you think? I daresay I rather like it. I have quite a few of these no-brand dies. They're inexpensive and cut well. Downsides are it takes a while to get them, sometimes they're smaller than you think (always check the measurements given), and a few have not shown up at all or they sent me the wrong one (but each time the vendor – or Amazon – refunded my money).

MONEY SAVING no-brand die Amazon shopping tip – when you find one of these no-brand dies you like, don't assume the price you see listed is the least expensive. Do a search for the type of die and I guarantee you, you will find it at several different prices. For example, with this die I did an Amazon search for 'Happy Birthday dies'. In the search results, I found it listed 8 times on 25 pages (I probably would have found more, but quit after 25). Prices including shipping ranged from €5.04 to €10.65 for the exact same die!!! For the €5.61 price difference you've got yourself another die.

I measured off and decided in advance what digi I wanted to use on the card – Di's Digi Stamps Birthday Cake Teddy (on sale for just £1.00) – cut my white paper to size and printed it out. I've saved this file as a template to use for future cards, now that I know what size my digi needs to be to fit (a real time and paper saver). I used another no-brand slimline die (as seen on this You Knock My Socks Off Valentine's Day card) as the base. Paper is from Mode & Travaux magazine's Noel 2021 paper edition. Enamel dots dress it up.
