New Year's card made with Presscut Oval Swing Card die

Presscut oval swing card die with digital freebie image by Elizabeth Dulemba, by Paperesse.

We're counting down  to 2016 – already?! – where did the year go? My goodness. This New Year's card is made with the Crafts-Too Presscut oval swing card die – a recent acquisition – getting its first workout here.

The cute focal image of baby new year is a Coloring Page Tuesday freebie (digitally reduced in size) kindly shared by the talented children's author and illustrator Elizabeth Dulemba.

This is a great die and I was pleased with its constructed form. Like the Crafts-Too step card die I use all the time (this Autumn card for my mother is but one example), it cuts perfectly. I can think of many different ways to use it and it definitely creates a real WOW! kind of card for whoever receives it. It collapses flat for mailing.

I used Die-namics Oval stax die for the suspended center to have a little bit bigger middle piece and to have my customary matted focal image. The ivy die is part of the card die set and could easily be used all by itself.
