It's time for January's new releases at Digital Delights by Louby Loo. My card features the Eye on You Mitzy stamp. Click on over to the Digital Delights blog to see what other lovely creations DT members have to share with you today.
I believe this stamp's original purpose is Valentine's Day, and it would work very well for that, but I see it as the perfect 'Just Because', or even 'Get Well' card.
Mitzy's a bit androgynous; might it be Mit-Z don't you think? I liked the idea of the later and went with masculine paper and coloring. It seemed rather a steampunk-ish image – what with the magnifying glass and all – so I chose the retired Papermania Chronology paper pack and Sizzix's Gear Head die set to help set the tone. I paper pieced the hat, clothing and shoes from the paper.
Notice how I placed the sentiment? I layerd a PNG image over another one. Have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about? See my tutorial on PNG files and layering digital stamps.

ReplyDeleteLove the paper piecing - you chose great spots on the paper to use like the script on his hat! Really nice blending on his skin too Shani - as always! I have to tell you I organized my pencils today in a holder - still haven't used them... not sure what I am saving them for! LOL!
