Upcycled egg carton with free Papercraft Inspirations issue #150 Easter printables

I've been seeing quite a few upcycled egg cartons on Pinterest and wanted to try my crafty hand at one, only I didn't have a lot of time this week for coloring any digital stamps and was looking for a quick solution. I decided to use the free Easter digital printables from Papercraft Inspirations issue #150.

Carefully removing the paper label from the carton, I used it as a template, cutting my printed paper to fit. I fussy cut the bunny, butterfly and tag, but used La Cabina stitched circle dies for the main image and Toga's bow tie die in lieu of ribbon.

For the inside of the carton, I used a digital image, more of the paper, and filled it up with chocolate Easter eggs. This is a gift for some French speaking friends, so I do believe I'm going to have to explain that inside 'Hoppy' sentiment, lest they think I've misspelled it.

And here's the egg carton's 'before' photo:

Supply List
Paper – Papercraft Inspirations #150 free digital paper and images, cardstock
Dies – La Cabina stitched circle and greenery border dies, Toga bow tie, Die-namics rectangle stax
Embellishments – button, twine

I'm linking up with: Unstampabelles #67 – To 'die' for, Craft for the Craic April – Easter anything but a card, Everybody Art Challenge #400 – Anything but a card, Connie Can Crop #57 – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Kitty Bee Design's Aloha Friday #92 – Easter.

LOL! Great minds... I just decorated an egg carton too for Gena! But yours is much cuter - LOVE the paper bow with the button and the sentiment on a tag sticking out! Wish now I had waited and saw yours so I could have stolen that idea... next year!
