Cardinal Christmas card with 2 Cute Ink Winter Cardinal freebie

Cardinal Christmas card featuring 2 Cute Ink Winter Cardinal freebie, by Paperesse.

Why are cardinals perfect for Christmas cards? I think it must be the red factor. They do say 'Christmas' like no other bird. Case in point – this cardinal Christmas card featuring a freebie 2 Cute Ink download from Simply Cards and Papercraft issue 156. Click HERE to download. There are four super cute Christmas freebies up for grabs, so it's worth clicking on over.

Paper is more of this Carta Bella Christmas Delivery paper pad I purchased right after Christmas last year. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I rarely buy any paper but digital, so that I bought this shows how much I like it. I've used it on two other cards to date – this Joy Christmas card and this Let It Snow Somewhere Else card (I'm getting my money's worth out of it).

My sentiment is from Kim's Digital Stamp – Twelve Christmas Greetings sentiment sheet. The greenery is from a no-brand die I purchased not long ago and is making its first appearance here. Matt enamel dots dress it up.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Echo Park Carta Bella Christmas Delivery 6x6 paper pad
Digital stamp/sentiment – 2 Cute Ink Winter Cardinal freebie, Kim's Digital Stamp Twelve Christmas Greetings sentiment sheet
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – Die-namics circle stax, no-brand greenery die
Embellishments – matt enamel dots

I'm linking up with: Simply Papercraft #58 – ATG, The Merry Christmas Challenge #25 – ATG Christmas, Sunny Day Crafting #25 – Any Animal on Project, Winter Wonderland 22/06 – Christmas Square Cards Only, and CHNC #391 – ATG Christmas.

That evergreen die is going to become a favorite I predict! Works like a bow on your card, doesn't add a lot of bulk, made of paper and it will fit any Christmas card and maybe some others!! Good purchase I think! That Cardinal is a cutie and I love the plaid you layered with it. I kept thinking you could also paper piece the bird's scarf with that plaid too - another option for another card. Thanks for sharing the link to the images - and in case someone doesn't try to download them because of the sentence in the article about "these stamps are only available for download until 29th December 2016" - ignore it, the link still works!

I love the papers you picked and the beautiful colouring. The robin looks like he is smiling. Thanks for joining in the challenge at CHNC with an optional theme of using washi tape.
