Mozzarella Mice Birthday Card

This card for my husband's recent birthday (Joyeux Anniversaire = Happy Birthday in French) features THE perfect digi for any French person on your greeting card list – Di's Digi Stamps Mozzarella Mice. Heck, even a lactose intolerant French person would appreciate this one, cheese being such a big part of our culture and all (check out this Cheese in France post and you'll see what I mean!). Another plus to this digi, you could use it for just about any occasion. I plan on coloring it up again for a French Christmas card.

I think Di should a have 'French Friendly' label on her site. I've probably used more of her images on my French cards than any other artist. Her drawings have been on many a birthday and anniversary card for my husband, e.g. this foot (soccer) birthday card using the colors of the French team, and one of my all time favorites, this cheesy (literally not figuratively) anniversary card.

Paper is bargain bin no-brand grocery store type. I used a metal embossing die on the large no-brand cheese one to give a bit of texture; unfortunately, the little circles aren't showing up well in the photo. The rectangular stitched die is also no-brand, as is the yellow border strip behind my (once again) ric rac die. Sentiment was created with Candy Round BTN font. Enamel dots give spots of color.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock,  bargain bin paper

Dies – no-brand stitched rectangle, cheese, and border strip, Gemini Fancy Borders Ric Rac, Artemio tiny circles embossing
Embellishments – enamel dots
