Practicing Creativity

Spreading some colorful love . . .

Someone close to me is a bit down lately. I thought I'd cheer her up with a card. Bright colors were a must!

You know, I've enjoyed making art for a long time now, in various guises. I've studied art formally (graphic design). I've dabbled in drawing, oil painting, collage (still a big collage fan), but the one that seems to give me the most satisfaction is creating a beautiful greeting card.

I like that it makes my art accessible.  After all,  everyone likes to receive a pretty card. I like the thought of someone opening one of my cards and getting a little jolt of pleasure from it, making them feel they're loved and cared about. A simple greeting card can make someone's day and I like being a part of that.
