Inspired by Stamping August release Guitars and Background Basics Lines

Our designer sneak peeks continue with the new sets Guitars and Background Basics Lines. I like this guitar set so much I couldn't stop with just one card—I made two! The first one is masculine themed and made with the acoustic guitar.

I colored the guitar with colored pencils, fussy cut and layered on vintage sheet music. See the splatters on the corners of the base paper and on the sheet music? These "splatters" are actually stamps that are part of the Guitars set. I think these are just so cool and give the perfect vintage look to my papers!

I wanted the guitar to stand out so I used 3D pads to lift it from the page. I used ribbon at the bottom, but kept to the masculine color scheme. I used the Just a note stamp from the IBS Big Notes set. With the background sheet music, I think that's an appropriate sentiment, don't you?

I finished the inside, but left it blank for a personal note. I already know who I'm sending this one to.

These stamps will work well for anyone—guy or gal—who likes music. I decided to make a feminine card for the electric guitar stamp. And since it's an electric guitar, I decided on an electric color—neon pink!

I paper pieced a part of the guitar, added little pearls, some ribbon and twine. I used the Happy Birthday stamp from the Big Wishes set at the bottom.

There's even a little guitar charm; I knew I'd find a use for these charms one day!

Inside it's a stamp from the Birthday Greetings set.
