A shaped 3D decoupage Fall card idea
Here is another Fall/Halloween combo card created with items from my stash—this time for my grandmother—and like the card I recently made for my mother, I've used a 3D decoupage image and papers from the Tilly Daydream Ultimate Die-cut and Paper Pack (TIL 169100). The "Happy Fall" sentiment is Annie BTN font. The inside sentiment adds "Happy Halloween". My grandmother is 95, and after I did this card I wondered at the wisdom of wishing her a "Happy Fall"—maybe I should have said "Happy Autumn"? Oh well, I'm sure she won't think anything about it.
I used XCut's Square Parenthesis die (XCU 503426) to cut my card base and layers. The 3D focal image and patterned patterns are from the paper pack. I did not use the decoupage image exactly as it was provided. I used a circle die to cut the starting layer of the image and built on it from that.
The ribbon is one with a little wire added to the very outside edges. I love this type of ribbon; you can shape the loops and ends easily and they stay that way.
*Crafty Tip* Don't be afraid to change the construction of a 3D decoupage image. I often cut pieces away I think it would look better without and change the overall shape to meet my design's need.
