Practicing Creativity

Happy Thanksgiving! Now let's get basted . . .

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the US! I always feel a tad nostalgic on Thanksgiving. My French family doesn't celebrate it, of course, so for them it's a day like any other, but for me I have many fond memories of my Thanksgivings growing up and they warm my heart on this day.

This card is one that went back States-side. I sent it to my cousin Surfer-Dude type in Seattle. I knew he'd appreciate the humor.

This digital Let's Get Basted turkey stamp from Whimsie Doodles is – without a doubt – THE funniest Thanksgiving stamp I've ever seen. I've placed it against Studio Calico Maple Syrup Autumn Press Collection (retired) paper. I enjoy Whimsie Doodles humor, as this other Thanksgiving card I posted using their Talk Turkey 2 Me stamp, would attest.

I've used the colors from the colorQ #318 challenge:

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Studio Calico Maple Syrup Autumn Press Collection
Digital Stamp and sentiment – Whimsie Doodles Let's Get Basted
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – Die-namics Fishtail Banner stax
Embellishments – twine, button
