Pumpkin Lovers Unite! framed free Pumpkin Everything digital stamp and how to make an easel from craft dies

I colored up this free Dearie Dolls Pumpkin Everything digital stamp, thinking I would use it on a card to send to my niece, who (like her aunt) loves everything pumpkin. I added the sentiment.

But, when I'd finished coloring it, I thought it was so cute on its own I didn't want to put it on a card; instead, I put it in a flat paper frame from my stash. I didn't want to add too much in the embellishment department, lest it detract from the image, so I added some double rowed pearl tape (which unfortunately, does not show up very well in this photo).

Now, how to display it? I found an image on Pinterest where someone had used craft dies to create an easel (click HERE to see a better image). Unfortunately, the follow through link is dead, but you can see from the photo how it was done and easily do the same. I did have to adjust the die up and down a bit before I found the right spot to allow it to stay up.

  2. What a great idea on using the die for an easel! I am assuming it is folded in half and half glued down? Nice pencil work Shani - love the colors you chose to use. Every once in a while I would love the idea of putting a favorite one in a frame like that... ones I don't want to give away. Maybe make a frame that is easy to replace the card. But I digress...
