Happy Valentine's Day! card idea with DigiStamp Boutique Alstair set stamp

Valentine's Day card featuring Digistamp Boutique Alstair set stamp & sentiment, design by Paperesse.

Happy Valentine's Day! Now, I know some folks don't care much for the pairing up part of Valentine's Day, and I get that. We're all independent, smart women (and men) who do not HAVE to have a guy or significant other around to make us feel better about ourselves. It's nice if we want one, sure, but we don't have to.

But, even if you don't care much for Valentine's Day, think about it this way – you gotta have the 14th to have the 15th, when all those tasty Valentine's Day chocolates are 50% off! YES! Consider the 14th a necessary evil in the fight for affordable chocolate.

This card was sent to my grandmother. I've used a stamp and sentiment from the Digistamp Boutique Alistair set. Paper is from the same bargain paper pad used on my two previous posts – Heart Birds Valentine and French Bread & Butter Valentine. This was a mailer going back to the States so embellishments were light; I used a border die-cut in lieu of ribbon, a heart sticker and accented all with pearls.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, patterned paper
Digital stamp – DigiStamp Boutique Alstair set
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Die – La Cabina rectagles, Xcut border dies
Embellishments – heart sticker, pearls

  1. Girlfriend - you got that light source and shading down perfectamundo on this one!! Love the highlights you created on the lion and the heart. The paper 'ribbon' is delightful with the pearls - a little frill, a little vintage & romantic touch for your grandmother - bet she loves it!
