Delightful Thursday at Digital Delights – Peggy Legz set birthday card

It's another Delightful Thursday at Digital Delights; click on over to see what projects other DT members are sharing today. My card features the Peggy Legz set.

I colored this one up for a swimming friend's birthday and went with her physical appearance for the stamp – red hair and green eyes. I sprinkled a few freckles on the cheeks, too. Paper is grocery store bargain bin type.

More of my new La Cabina (?) dies (as I mentioned on this coffee bean card) are putting in an appearance – the wave border dies and the stitched rectangles surrounding the sentiment. I've had this felt grass ribbon(s) a while now and this is the first time I've used the darker green (I used the lighter green on this Easter card from 2013). This proves thinking – but I might use this someday – and holding on to things you haven't used in years can pay off. Is it good to prove that point though? I don't know; could be it makes it that much harder to weed out the things you probably won't ever get around to using. Alas, for me, there's a whole heck of a lot more of the later than the former.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, patterned paper
Digital Stamp – Digital Delights Peggy Legz set
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – La Cabina rectangle and wave border stitching dies
Embellishments – enamel dots

  3. LOL! I recognize myself from the chin up! Thank you, thank you Shani! I got the card today and came home [from swimming] and it was posted same day on your blog... how cool is that! I love that you die cut that grass from felt - and you know what? the blending on her cap is so well done, I can run my fingers across it and almost feel "felt" there too! Dang, you are good with pencils my friend!
