Today I have the honor to be guest designing for two challenges, Kleuren met Potloden (Coloring with Pencils) and Rudolph Days Challenge. My card features the Christmas Penguin Digi from Di's DigiStamps, one of Kleuren met Potloden's sponsors.
Since this is a small card, I rifled around in my paper scraps drawer to see if I had some papers I liked. I came across a bit of the peachy Artoz Christmas tree paper I used a few years back on this Christmas Pressie Mice card (another Di's digi), hunted around for some other bits to go with that, then colored up my digi to match. I enjoy using non-traditional colors for Christmas cards and was pleased with how this one turned out.
I used my favorite no-brand ragged edge dies to create the card. I've said this before and I repeat myself, but these are great dies; I like every card I make with them. I'll mention again, too, that I adhere my papers to upcycled packaging paper (think cereal boxes, etc) and then cut the dies. This lifts my layers and makes the papers and ragged edges stand out. This was a Beccy's Place Hot Tip Tuesday from a few years back that I have adopted as standard practice. Since doing so I rarely use double sided foam tape.
The sentiment (Best Wishes in English) was created with Dhanikans Signature Italic font. Some little wooden stars and copper dots give a bit of bling.
Come join in the fun by linking up your pencil colored creations at Kleuren met Potloden and your Christmas creations at Rudolph Days Challenge!
