Beach Kitten birthday card

Beach Kitten purrfect birthday card, by Paperesse.

This Beach Kitten birthday card is destined for my niece who loves cats. The stamp is Meljen's Designs Beach Kitten. She has designed some really cute cat digis, like the retired one used on this 'No butts about it...' card.

The seaside papers are a free digital download from Cardmaking and Papercraft issue 81. The sentiment was created with Amelie font.

Embellishments are crinkled paper ribbon and buttons. Now about those buttons...if you think I went a bit overboard there, you're right. I had intended to have only three, but due to a glue malfunction (or my less than steady hand) spot coverage was necessary.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Seaside free Cardmaking and Papercraft issue 81 download
Digital stamp – Meljen's Designs Beach Kitty
Color—Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Dies – Die-namics square stax
Embellishments – crinkled paper ribbon, buttons
Font – Amelie

  2. Awwww... I love the pink outfit on this cutie - and the matching crinkled 'ribbon'! Girrrl! I know how it goes with an unsteady hand and spot coverage! Today I was addressing a wedding card with a Calligraphy pen and it was perfect until I misspelled my last name in the return address! By the way, I don't think five buttons is 'overboard' - my first impression on seeing the card is a big grin! Your pencil work is so smooth on this image - and your shading is masterful! Nicely done Shani!
