Happy Autumn card featuring Di's Digi Stamps Henry's Harvest digital stamp

Can you believe it's autumn already? Got all your fall themed cards done – autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.? No? Join the club. But, I'm having a good time working on them. Actually, autumn cards are my favorites to make. I love this time of year – the color of changing leaves and the pumpkins, mushrooms and chestnuts in the market (yummy!). Fall card themes and colors echo all these things I enjoy.

Today's card features Di's Digi Stamps Henry's Harvest digi (on sale for just $1.00). This is such a cute image (love the wagon!). I used yet another Di's Digi Stamps wagon image on this autumn card from last year.  Paper is free The CoffeeShop Blog Fall Paper Pack 2 and Mabel digital papers. If you're in the market for some digital papers The CoffeeShop Blog is the place to go! Rita has a fantastic selection of freebies on her site for any occasion.

I used Euphoria font for the sentiment and dressed the card up with a little ribbon and three buttons.

  2. With the background papers you have combined colors that are so delicious - yellows & oranges and burgundy - all shades of foods common for the fall! You have such a feel for colors and shapes that combine so beautifully! Then you add those three buttons in a row, giving us repetition not only of the color burgundy but of the round shapes of the die cuts and the polka dotted papers. Finally that image is colored wonderfully with shading that gives it real depth. The "pull-you-in" orange paired with the grey-brown of the critter and the delightful accent colors make me smile and draws me into the scene. I must admit to some confusion with the image though... is he going right or left?? His left(?) hand and head make him appear he is going to the left - but his feet and right(?) arm are going the other direction! That's not you but the individual drawing the image - LOL! Oh, I know - he is really an owl and can swivel his head 180(+) degrees. LOve this card Shani!
