Practicing Creativity

Crafty Friends Rock!

I had a birthday recently and was so touched by the handmade cards some of my crafty friends sent me. I appreciate when anyone sends me a card – handmade or not – but as a cardmaker myself, I doubly appreciate when someone has taken the time to actually make me a card. The makes I received are so cute I just have to share them. The black and white card (kinda has a 60's vibe...I love it!!!) is from my cardmaking buddy Jan (see more of Jan's lovelies at Huh. So This is a Blog). The floral wreath (can you see that 3D effect? it jumps off the page) is from cardmaking buddy Ginny (more prettiness can be found at RubberMAD, although she's taking a blogging break). The owl card (I love those eyes and the orange color for fall!) was made by a Geneva friend. She's just started making cards and I've warned her she risks getting addicted!

  1. How fun - thank you for the shout-out Shani! I remember Jan's blog - super creative name that you won't forget! Jan is an accomplished maker and this elegant black and white geometric design is stunning! Hope your Geneva friend joins our [mostly] sorority of paper and ink - it's a comfort in a Pandemic! She [I assume] is well on her way with her creative owl! ~ginny
