Vintage look rusty rose birthday card

I made this vintage look birthday card for a friend of mine to give to a special someone who's celebrating her 40th birthday.

I used one of the rose stamps from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Flowers. I stamped and colored it 4 times, cut away bits from each layer, then assembled them with foam pads for a 3D effect. The sentiment stamp is also IBS.

To give it more texture and in keeping with the vintage look I was striving for, I got out the sewing machine on this one and sewed down the edges.

  1. The rose looks like I could just lean over and smell it. Beautiful card.

  2. LOVE the depth and dimension of the rose! And the stitching is the perfect finishing touch. So beautiful, Shani!

  3. This is beautiful, Shani! I saw it featured on Facebook via IBS. I love how you colored the rose.

So glad to see you had a good visit in the US. When you flew over New Jersey, I waved to you! tee hee
