Today I have the pleasure to once again be guest designing for Kleuren Met Potloden (Coloring with Pencils); if you're a pencil colorer, come join the fun!
I've also got a treat for you today! Scroll down to get the Di's Digi Stamps hedgehog freebie used on this card. Di normally only shares freebies on her private Facebook group, but she's made an exception for Paperesse readers and is allowing me to share it here with you (thanks, Di!). If you're a regular reader you know how much I like using Di's hedgehog digis on my cards. This Hedgehog Snowy Post holiday card is one such (that particular post also gives more info on hedgehogs or hérisson, as they're called in France).
Btw, given my fascination with hedgehogs, I was pleased to see that Switzerland has named the humble hedgehog its 2026 Swiss Animal of the Year! Yeah!!!
This particular card was sent to a male friend of ours so I chose my papers with that in mind. I think I'm channeling a 70's retro vibe lately. These colors and the colors on my last masculine birthday card just seem so 70's to me. These colors were my mom's favorites and as a kid our home was furnished with this color scheme (I just dated myself there, didn't I?). Out of curiosity I googled 'Retro 70's Colors' and yep, these came up. I noticed the results also referred to these colors as 'Vintage 70's' (so I guess I'm vintage now, too :-). Base dies are my favorite go-to generic ragged edge rectangles, dressed it up with my much loved ric-rac border die and dirty bronze Nuvo Crystal Drops. The French birthday sentiment was created with Parisian BT font.
And here's Di's freebie! If you use it and post your creation online, please credit Di's Digi Stamps and link back to her accordingly.
