Soccer Happy Birthday card in 3D

Tomorrow is my husband's birthday. He's a big soccer fan. In honor of his special day, I made him this birthday card with a soccer theme.

The two players are from a Le Suh 3D sheet. This wasn't a pre-cut sheet, I had to do the cutting . . . phew! That took a while, there were six layers. I'm always a little frustrated with 3D card photos. If you take the photo straight on you don't get the 3D effect, but if you take it from the side you see the pads in between and it looks sloppy. Oh well, I think you can get an idea of it. The Scribble die is from Sizzix. I like it; you can use it in so many ways.  Here, I thought it gave the idea of movement.

This is the first time I've used a double fold card base. I picked up some beige ones on sale a while back and thought it high time I used one. I like it, I'm sure I'll be making more like this soon.

The soccer ball is a tag that came with this Tesco gift wrapping kit I saw months ago, bought and put aside for just this occasion. I used the tag on the card and wrapped his presents in the paper.

There were two sheets of paper and two tags so I guess I'm good for next year too!
