Retro look birthday card—archive peek

I thought you might enjoy a peek from my own archive. It shows a bit how my style has evolved. For years my work centered on collage (hence my enormous ephemera collection). It was collage that led me to card making. I still enjoy collage (I consider my card making just another form of it) but the size of my collages has shrunk a bit. Ah, by the way, do you know the French verb for "to glue" is coller? Use that logic and I am still definitely doing collages.

I made this card with original ephemera from the year 1959 for a guy friend who was born in—quick, can you guess?—yep, that's right...1959. I adore that red pick-up truck.  There's some imagery here particular to him, the guitar for example. I really liked this card. Even though I would probably do it differently today, it's still one of my favorites.

  1. Coucou Shani!
    Bisous :)
