Panda Bear Valentine's Day card with free digital stamp and papers

Panda Valentine's day card made with free digistamp and papers, by Paperesse.

Sometimes I start a card or project, not really expecting a lot, and am pleasantly surprised by the end result. This simple little card is just such a project. I saw this free Panda Stamp from Sliekje digi stamps on her blog ages ago, but didn't really know how I'd use it. If you're not familiar with Sliekje's blog, do check it out; she has some very cute stamps (you can see where I've used one of her chicks on this Easter card last year). I punched a little heart, cut a bit around Panda's left paw, and tucked the heart underneath so it would appear he's holding it.

Last week I received the free Panda Love mini-kit from Pixel Scrapper in my inbox (sign up for the newsletter to receive free mini-kit emails!) and knew I had the paper to go with the stamp. I used Fluffy Slacks BTN free font for my front sentiment and tied in the Valentine's sentiment with a personalized message inside. This isn't a 'romantic' Valentine, but rather a 'thinking of you' type for a family member back in the States.

This week's Saturday Sketch #396 was the final touch and everything dropped into place – stamp, papers and design.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, free Pixel Scrapper Panda Love mini-kit
Digital stamp – Free Sliekje Panda
Color – Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Punch – heart
Font – Fluffy Slacks BTN
