Hang in there, Cousin! sloth Get Well card

Get Well card featuring 2 Cute Ink Sweet Sloth digital stamp, by Paperesse.

My cousin just had her second back surgery in as many years. I whipped up this get well card to let her know I'm thinking of her. Like the turtle card I sent her after her fist surgery, I think the image is eminently appropriate.

The digital stamp is Sweet Sloth from 2 Cute Ink.  The green leaf digital paper is a freebie from Pixel Scrapper – Janet Scott Pond Life Green Leaf.  The bark paper is from Tactile Studio's Splendor digital paper pack. Candy Round BTN font was used for the sentiment. A little jute ribbon and this button from my stash make perfect embellishments.

If you think that Toga polaroid die-cut surrounding the stamp looks like real wood – you're right! It is real wood. I found several sheets on sale at a decorative center a few years back. I like the look, but it's not easy to use. It's a bit brittle and has a tendency to crack. You can see where I used it on this Go Nuts! birthday card, too. The banner die-cut behind the button is part of  Polaroid die-cut set.

  2. Whoa! Very cute! First thing to grab my attention is your color choices for the sloth... lOVe the warm yellow earth tones combined with the greys! That little guy just pops! Your ability to see the thin wood [veneer?] possibilities for cards is so typical of your creative strength! Seeing the freebie green leaf paper and combining it as a small fish-tail banner with a cloth[?] button to balance the colors... so creative! And THEN, the very cool sewn cordage! It would be a kick in the pants to shop with you!
