1st Mother's Day Card

Happy Mother's Day! As I mentioned on this new baby card post, my niece had a baby at the end of December. So far I've made 1st Valentine's day and 1st Easter cards for the baby and now it's a 1st Mother's Day card for my niece, which unfortunately she did not receive by today. Fingers crossed it turns up. Even late is better than not turning up at all. If it's a store bought card that doesn't arrive, bleh, no biggy. But one I've spent hours on?! Ugh. I admit, that bothers me. I don't know what the deal is with mail anymore. I guess I'm going to have to start mailing cards to the States a month in advance.

The 1st Mother's Day digi was a online freebie. The paper is from the retired My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing 12 x 12 paper pad (I've had this forever, it has 180 pages in the pad and I've hardly made a dent). The die is part of my recent stash addition outlet purchase  – Creative Expressions Lisa Horton Sliced Circles Bubbles (I opted not to use the bubble backgrounds). I dressed it up with some wooden flower embellishments, topped off with pearls.
