'Masculine' Birthday Card With 2 Cute Ink Bake Me a Cake Digi

'Masculine' Birthday Card with 2 Cute Ink Bake Me a Cake digi colored with Luminance pencils, by Paperesse.

Here's a 'masculine' birthday card for you today (note the quotation marks there). This card is going to a guy, but it could just as easily be for a gal. I used a digi from 2 Cute Ink – Bake Me a Cake as the focal point. I like 2 Cute Ink stamps, their bold lines make them easy to color. This Country Music Chick thank you card is a past favorite.

This is supposed to be a squirrel. Even though he (this one's a guy squirrel) doesn't look much like the squirrels around us, I did color him red as most squirrels around here tend to be. Our squirrels (écureuil roux Français) are rusty red to a dark reddish-black with pointy tufted ears and though they are a protected species, we see a lot in the trees around our home.

This is the first outing for this fancy-edged frame die I picked up at a discount store a few months back. I think I paid €3.00 for it. Paper is some leftover from my stash. I dressed it up with my ric-rac die and some copper dots. The sentiment was created with Tw Cen MT font.

  4. Such a sweet image! Wonderful card! I took a peek at the French red squirrel....it does look a bit different from the North American variety. Their ears are definitely way cuter! (:
