I meant to get this card posted for France's March 27 National Cheese Day last week, but alas, I didn't get it finished and photographed in time. I like that it's an all occasion card that will work for just about any purpose by simply changing the inside sentiment; I need more of these in my stash.
Apparently, cheese is a well researched subject. To this day some of my most viewed posts are the 'cheesy' ones, like this cheese lover's dream from 2020. Speaking of cheese lovers, do you know there's a word for that? They're called turophiles, from the Greek words tyros meaning cheese and philos (origin of the suffix -phile) to love. Likewise turophobia is the fear of cheese. Fear of cheese? Oh my! I can't imagine. Ce serait horrible !
In fact typing this put me in the mood for a bite. I just went into the kitchen for a little Etivaz, a Swiss cheese made in the Alps not far from us and one of my favorites. If you're not familiar with this cheese and come across it, do give it a try, it's delicious!!! It has a full – almost sweet – robust taste and is excellent at the end of a meal with a fine red wine.
The digital stamp is from Prettygrafik's Perfect Pairs set. I like these sets with lots of different digis. You can use one alone, or layer and do all sorts of things with them, (like this Season's Greenthings card). The cheesy digital paper is from Noisy Raven. The sentiment was created with Apple Boy BTN font. Some rustic ribbon and enamel dots top it off.

This has go to be the cutest wedge of cheese ever! And the background paper is simply a perfect accent. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Funday Challenge and we hope you'll play again soon.

I'm so sorry I haven't been around, there just seems to be a lot of distraction in my life, thankfully it is mostly good. This card is darling, I love that little cheese and the sentiment is perfectly cheesy.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of cheese, I thought of you the other day. I bought some brie and was researching ways is can be used and I decided to eat it "the French way" room temp spread on some delicious bread including the rind. It was so tasty!
