Year of the Dragon Birthday Card Idea

This Asian look card featuring Meljens Designs Chinese Dragon digi is for a friend's upcoming birthday. Since it's the year of the dragon, and she was born in a dragon year, I thought this  was a perfect fit. I have quite a few Meljens digis like this one, from her independent online digi boutique days (this Cat Butts card is a past favorite) and I was sorry when she closed down her shop. Fast forward a few years and I was glad to see her reappear as a digital artist at Whimsy Stamps. Not all of her older designs are there (no Cat Butts I'm sorry to say), but she does have some cute ones, including this dragon who is once again available.

The paper is First Edition's Floral Fusion paper pad. I thought it an apt match for the dragon theme. The dragon charms I've had a while and never used, so I thought it was about time I did so, tying one on with a little gold twine. The sentiment was created with English 111 Adagio BT font (Joyeux Anniversaire = Happy Birthday).
