Birthday Card Featuring Vera Lane Studio Airen Digi and Sentiment

Birthday card featuring Vera Lane Studio Airen digital stamp and sentiment, colored with Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils, by Paperesse.

I treated myself to some new Vera Lane Studio digis, among which is this Airen image. The sentiment on this card (it comes with the digi) is especially appropriate as it's being sent to a friend of mine I've known since kindergarten. We've both embraced our gray hair (I mentioned we're old friends, right?) so I colored the digi accordingly.

I like VLS's quirky digital stamps and I especially appreciate the sentiments and PNG images that come with them. This set has three images and two sentiments and the images have PNG versions that make them easy to layer and to mix and match with other sets. In this image, for example, I placed the wine bottle (a separate image) behind Airen. You can see where I've done more VLS image layering on this Sea La Vie card. Yes, VLS digis might cost a bit more initially, but the PNG images and sentiments make them ever so versatile, insuring more bang for your creative buck and with my new Affinity Photo 2 app I can do this layering fairly easy (if you're interested in trying Affinity Photo 2 you can get a 7-day free trial HERE).

The paper is from Motivblock Folia Folklore and Basics Red paper pads. A simple wooden heart tops it all off.
