I've taken a break from my Christmas card making to focus on fall/Halloween cards. Our recent rainy weather and cooler temperatures have put me in an autumn mood. That and as it can now take a month or more for my cards to reach recipients in the US, I need to mail them early. I prefer fall cards to Halloween cards as 'Happy Fall' is less date specific than 'Happy Halloween' and allows more time to arrive without technically being 'late'. And speaking of mailing...have your postage prices really gone up these last two years? These days I'm paying (depending on the weight) around €4.00 (about US $4.70) or more to mail a card. I have to admit these rising postage costs and unreliable delivery times have me sending less cards abroad than I once did.
I decided to make a slimline card, since I haven't made one in a while; this Hoppy Easter card from a few years back served as my inspiration. I used the Bugfall Trio digis from now defunct Bugaboo and these generic slimline cutting dies to create the card. Paper is a freebie sheet from an old issue of Culture Scrapbooking magazine. I love these wooden pumpkin embellishments topped off with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Auburn Pearl; sadly, these are the last two I have of these smaller sizes.

I'm linking up with the following challenges: A Place to Start Sept. – ATG, PIP #2536 – ATG, Inspiration Station Sept. – fall photo, Dream Valley #344 –2 or more layers, The Four Seasons Sept. – fall photos, Pattie's Creations #234 – ATG, and Creative Fingers #307 – ATG.
These are some of the sweetest Bugaboo images, and I certainly miss Jodie and her creativity. Yes, postage has gone up steadily over the last few years, which has me scaling way back on card swaps. It makes me sad, but I will continue to send happy mail as long as I can still afford to. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us at The Inspiration Station Challenge. We hope you'll stop in again soon.
