Need a birthday card for a Beatles fan? Here's one for you using two digital stamps sets from Vera Lane Studio – George & Ringo and John & Paul. The sentiment (created with Dancing Script font) makes reference to the first line of their 1968 Birthday song. Inside the card I included the rest of the lyrics and my personalized greeting. Said Beatles fan for this card is my husband; this was his birthday card this year.
The musical notes I added around the boys were free downloads from Pixel Scrapper. If you're not familiar with Pixel Scrapper it's a great site for digital scrapbooking elements that work well with cards. You can sign up for free and download 5 free elements a day. I've found some very cute digital papers on Pixel Scrapper, e.g. the sushi ones on this Soy Amazing birthday card.
The Music digital paper is from the now defunct Tactile Studio. Flat back gems give a bit of bling.
Paper – cardstock, Tactile Studio Music digital paper
Dies – Die-namics rectangle stax
Embellishments – flat back gems
Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 pencils
Art-n-Fly white pen

I love your card! So cool.

What a cool card you made for your husband. Fun digi too, and beautiful colors and design. The paper you used is great. It's great that you're participating in the Kleuren met potloden Challenge again.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't become a follower the regular way because I kept getting an error. I'd have to delete so many followers to succeed, and I'm not going to do that either. But my husband discovered you can do it manually, and now I'm on it, hopefully, and I'll see you on my reading list right away. That makes it a lot easier to follow you now. Lol.
Hugs, Astrid
I can imagine your husband just LOVES this great personal card :-). And beautiful how the colors of the papers and image complement each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic car, super! Very nice colourwork and the papers match so well! Thank you for joining us at Kleuren met Potloden.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love...also the start of a Beatles song.
