Like the dressed up chocolate bars I did as Halloween favors for my AIWC October monthly coffee, I wanted to make a little something for everyone for Christmas. But I did a bit of traveling in November/early December and then had a craft room redecorating project that turned out to take far longer than I anticipated, which meant I didn't have a whole lot of time to make anything too fancy.
IKEA to the rescue! There are 25 of these little Christmas gift bags in a pack and at CHF 9.95 a very reasonable price (I only used 10 so I've got some left for future projects). They are supposed to be used as an Advent calendar, but I thought they were the perfect size for goodie bags. I added an embellishment to each bag that complimented the theme already shown. Inside the bag were individually packaged Lebkuchen (a German honey-sweetened cake similar to gingerbread), a piece of chocolate and a Christmas tea bag. They were quickly made and the ladies loved them.
