Valentine's Day will be here before you know it – do you have your cards done? Or do you even make them? I know it's not everyone's thang, but I enjoy them. And not just for my significant other. This one, for example, is going to a family member back in the States. Normally I send him something humorous, like this funny Bubagoo Stella card from last year (and if you don't like Valentine's Day, that's one you can relate to), but this year I went with this Love Heart Bear digi from Di's Digi Stamps. I've used quite a lot of Di's digis for past Valentines, especially those for my husband. By the way, if you're in the market for some Di's digis, you've got 'til 31 January to take advantage of her 50% off shop-wide sale!
And speaking of Di's...if you've been reading Paperesse a while now, you know I've been a big fan of Di's Digi Stamps for years, so I guess it's a natural evolution that I'm now designing for Di! Di regularly shares digi freebies on her private Facebook group, but even though I'm not on Facebook, she's generously allowing me to share some here with you, so...stay tuned!
I dug out my old Toga Polaroid die for this design (haven't used that one in a while) and swapped the traditional red Valentine theme for blue (to match this scalloped edge card base – a packet of which I purchased ages ago and haven't yet used – I'm noticing a theme here :-). I also did some paper piecing with the bear's t-shirt, solid hearts and left paw (again...something else I haven't done/used in a long, long time). The paper is an inexpensive pad from Craft Universe (unfortunately, no name given for the design). The little banner die cut is part of the Toga die. The sentiment was created with Zolano Sans BTN font. A crinkly paper ribbon strip and button dress it up without being too girly.
