A card for baby's first Christmas

I subscribe to several card making and paper crafting magazines. I love it when they give gifts (makes me justify the expensive subscription prices). The main elements in this card were just such a gift with a recent issue of Complete Cardmaking.

The original 3D sheet by Mary Jane Harris Craftsuprint.com was for a complete card front. I didn't find much challenge in that, nor did I really like the whole card design.

I cut the design apart, changed things around and added a bit more. A card with no texture just doesn't do it for me. I left the 'ribbon' though; it looks real, but it's paper. The burgundy polka dot paper is another gift; this time from Cardmaking and Papercrafting magazine.

Normally I leave the insides of my cards blank, but this time I included a sweet poem by Jon Bratton.

I've put this in the Etsy shop, just perfect for any first Christmas baby.

Material

Paper—Mary Jane Harris 3D sheet, Cardmaking and Papercrafting gift, cardstock. Embellishments—Artoz pearls. Sizzix swirl die.
