Snow village 3D Christmas card

As you might have noticed, my Christmas cards are relatively simple this year. Increasing postage costs are making me lighten up!

3D is a nice way to add a little pep to a card without a lot of weight, which makes it ideal for Christmas when several cards need to be mailed.

The down side is they're not quick to make. They aren't fancy, but some assembly is definitely required. I saved some time here by using a Papermania holiday pre-embossed card base.

This sheet is from Hobbyidee and was included with Créatif Spécial Cartes 3D Dec. '13-Feb. '14, No. 41, issue. I printed the inside sentiment from my computer using Honey Script font.

Material

3D topper—Hobbyidee Snow Village 3D sheet
Paper—Papermania embossed card base, cardstock
Dies—Die-namics circles, Sizzix Let it Snow
Embellishments—pearls

  1. What a darling image, and even the snowy hills are 3-D! This is a brilliant way to cut down on postage costs yet still provide a tactile, interesting card. Bravo!

  2. Postage has increased over here, too. It's a bummer. I notice fewer Christmas cards in my mailbox this year.

This little snowy scene is adorable! I wish you a Joyeux Noel, Shani. Big hugs!!
