Bright and colorful Positano mini with Bisous papers and chipboard shapes

I wanted to make a mini of our Positano vacation as a birthday gift for the hubs. I decided it just HAD to be bright and colorful—like Positano itself. Bisous dazzling multicolored papers and adhesive backed chipboard shapes were exactly what I had in mind. These papers and shapes by Suzanne Carillo are fab, fab, fab (kind of like the lady herself, be sure and check out her style blog).

I used Stamperia mini-album blanks, going over each page with Distress Stain Picket Fence to give the pages a washed look. I used square dies to cut the patterned and solid papers. I like handwriting on my albums—to me that gives them a personal touch—so I took advantage of Susanne's designs, planning my cuts to use spaces provided on the papers for writing.

The adhesive backed shapes made embellishing the album quick and easy—no glue needed! I added some pearls here and there, and tied some flashy ribbon to the ring binders.

Eyelets and an elastic band (my favorite mini closure) keep it all secure.

Supply List
Paper—Bisous scrapbooking kit papers: promise, fun, delight, Stamperia mini-album blanks
Embellishments—Bisous chipboard shapes: yum!, rainbow, shabby, ribbon, pearls, eyelets
Dies—Artemio square dies
Misc—Distress Stain Picket Fence, metal ring binders, elastic

  1. This turned out lovely!

The chipboard shapes are actually included in each kit. I think I might have failed to mention that in the details on Etsy.

I'm leaving again bright and early tomorrow morning though for Ottawa...so will need to change that when I get back.

Thanks again for doing such a wonderful job!

    bisous
