Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noël! and a Peas on Earth digital stamp Christmas card

Merry Christmas! Joyeux Noël! Here's my last Christmas card for 2015 using another funny digi from Whimsie Doodles – the Peas on Earth stamp. I think these WD stamps make hilarious cards (like the Underwear for Christmas stamp). They're definitely for my English speaking family and friends though. I had to explain this one to my French Hubby who didn't get the humor.

I finished the card and proudly showed it to him. He studied it a bit, then asked, 'What are the green things?'

'They're peas,' I replied.

'What do peas have to do with anything?'

'They're peas on earth. You know, like the song?' I thought that was more easily explained than the biblical reference.

He did that very Latin shoulder shrug, pursed lip thing. 'Non, what song?'

'The Peace on Earth song, you know the one.' I sang a few bars.

'Oh, okay, I get it now.' He handed me back the card. 'I thought they were aliens.'

Phffff . . .

My paper is the long retired (so long you probably can't even find it on eBay) Papermania Mistletoe Kisses. I dressed it up with some buttons and a little twine.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, Papermania Mistletoe Kisses
Digital stamp – Whimsie Doodles Peas on Earth

  1. LOL Shani! You will die when I tell you I thought EARTH must be a French word - didn't LOOK french, but maybe it is?? I didn't get it either till you wrote "Peas on Earth" OMG! ROTFLMAO now! You may have to write that sentiment on the inside fo the slower among us Americans too! In my defense, I got very sidetracked looking at your wonderful shading and inspecting that in detail! Dang, I need to take French at the local Jr. College - I feel like an idiot now!
