Happy Birthday Slimline Card with Paper Shelter Teddy Bear Picking Flowers Digi

Hi there all! Hope your summer is going well and you're managing to stay cool. We've been breaking heat records all over the place in France this year. It has been HOT...très, très chaud. We don't have AC so desperate measures are called for. I was forced – yes, forced – to lounge on my balcony this evening with an icy cold spritz in hand (Venezzio Orange Spritz's alchool free version). A treat I normally reserve for the weekend. Ahhhhh...worked a charm.

Moving right along...today's card is the second outing for this no-brand Happy Birthday die. The first was this Happy Birthday slimline card.

I liked the first version's design so much, I decided to use it again for this one; I just changed the digi (Paper Shelter Teddy Bear Picking Flowers – retired), paper (My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing paper pad) and enamel dot color. This die cuts well and I like the look of it. The only bad thing is gluing the top solid layer down; I used Aleene's Tacky Glue and a toothpick to do that.

Supply List
Paper – cardstock, My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing paper pad
Digital stamp – Paper Shelter Teddy Bear Picking Flowers
Dies – no-brand Happy Birthday and slimline card
Embellishments – enamel dots
Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers
Art-n-Fly white pen

I'm linking up with the following challenges: Paper Shelter Summer Break Challenge – ATG, Digi Choosday #30 – ATG, Try it On Tuesday 26/07 – Make it Feminine.

  1. What a lovely card! The papers are so pretty and that big birthday die is the perfect sentiment for a slimline card. Such a sweet digi too. Being forced to lounge on the balcony sounds like just the right thing to happen when it's très, très chaud. (When you read those last three words, make sure you do it with zero French accent, as that's all those of us with only grade 9 French can manage. (: )

  2. What a fabulous card! A super image and great card design! Thank you so much for joining us at Try It On Tuesday, I was in Paris during the heatwave and yes it was so hot! My sister in law tells me that the temperatures are still high in Poiters, enjoy more of those spritzers, Chrisx
